A System Running From June 10 to September 15
Operation Marhaba 2026 will run from June 10 to September 15, covering both arrival and return phases for Moroccans residing abroad.
The objective is clear: to make travel smoother, provide guidance, offer social assistance, ensure medical support when needed, and maintain a human presence at the main transit points used by Moroccan families during the summer season.
This year’s system relies on a consolidated network of 26 reception areas in Morocco and abroad, located across ports, airports, rest areas and border crossings.
20 Reception Areas Across Morocco
In Morocco, the system includes 20 Marhaba reception areas spread across key national transit points.
They are located in the ports of Tanger Med, Tanger Ville, Al Hoceima and Nador Bni Nsar.
The system is also present at major airports, including Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Salé, Oujda Angad, Nador, Agadir Al Massira, Fès Saïss, Marrakech Menara, Tanger Ibn Battouta, Laâyoune Hassan I and Dakhla.
Marhaba spaces are also available at the Méditerranée, Jebha, Tazaghine and Smir M’Diq rest areas, as well as at the Bab Sebta and Mellilia border crossings.
This wide deployment allows travelers to receive assistance from the moment they enter Moroccan territory and throughout their journey to their cities and regions of origin.
6 Marhaba Reception Areas in Europe
Abroad, six Marhaba reception areas are also operational in major European ports used by Moroccans living overseas.
They are located in Genoa in Italy, Sète and Marseille in France, and Motril, Almería and Algeciras in Spain.
These points are essential for many families who choose the maritime route to return to Morocco, especially during the busy summer travel period.
Nearly 1,400 People Mobilized
Nearly 1,400 people are mobilized as part of the operation. This includes teams from the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, social workers, doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers.
Their role is to listen, guide, assist and provide care for Moroccans residing abroad throughout their journey. The support may involve medical assistance, social guidance, practical information, or help in managing specific situations during periods of heavy traffic.
The Central Coordination Office in Rabat
The medical and humanitarian assistance system is reinforced by the Central Coordination Office, based in Rabat and supervised by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
This office monitors the work of assistance teams deployed on the ground, coordinates the mobilization of stakeholders in managing different situations, and oversees the Marhaba telephone assistance service.
This coordination is crucial because Operation Marhaba covers several countries, multiple transit points, different modes of transport and large passenger flows.
