The first deadline for a job in Italy next year arrives well before 2027. Employers can prefill applications under the Decreto Flussi scheme from 23 October to 7 December 2026, using the Interior Ministry’s ALI portal. Preparing an application is a preliminary step: it does not grant permission to enter Italy or start work.
For Moroccan families supporting a relative’s plans, this distinction matters. Before focusing on submission dates, applicants need to know who intends to hire them, for which job and on what terms.
A recruitment process led from Italy
The employer applies for the nulla osta, the prior work authorisation. Italian employers and foreign employers residing in Italy can initiate the process. Once that authorisation has been obtained, the worker applies for an entry visa through the competent Italian diplomatic or consular representation.
Moroccan entrepreneurs in Italy may therefore participate as employers, provided they meet the relevant requirements. Relatives can help a candidate understand documents and communicate with a business, but family support does not replace the employer’s formal responsibilities.
Applicants should seek written details of the proposed role, pay, working hours, workplace and accommodation arrangements. These checks help establish what the opportunity actually involves before anyone commits money or makes travel plans.
Where Moroccan applicants fit
Morocco is expressly included among the countries covered by specified non-seasonal employment admissions. Relevant sectors include construction, accommodation and food services, transport and logistics. Seasonal agricultural and tourism recruitment also draws on the eligible-country list. Access depends on the appropriate category and available quotas; nationality alone does not secure approval.
The 2027 submission calendar
| Employment category | Applications open |
|---|---|
| Seasonal agriculture | 12 January 2027 |
| Seasonal tourism | 9 February 2027 |
| Covered non-seasonal employment | 16 February 2027 |
| Family care | 18 February 2027 |
Employers must distinguish saving a draft from submitting it on the appropriate opening date.
There is also a significant qualification for Moroccan applicants. The operational rules referenced by the 2027 circular require specific checks for workers from Morocco, including the competent Questura’s favourable assessment and prior labour-inspectorate verification. Applicants should not assume that an authorisation has been granted simply because a processing deadline has passed.
For the diaspora, the useful role now is practical: identify a real employer, clarify the job and keep track of the official procedure. Any intermediary offering a guaranteed contract or visa should be asked to explain their professional status, mandate and fees. A well-prepared file improves readiness; it cannot guarantee an administrative decision.
