Building a brand abroad, manufacturing in Morocco: where Maroc in Mode can help

For Moroccan entrepreneurs overseas, sourcing from Morocco can connect a business idea with the country’s manufacturing expertise. Maroc in Mode provides a starting point for finding suppliers. Turning those introductions into a viable collection requires careful decisions about order sizes, quality, timing and delivery.

Building a brand abroad, manufacturing in Morocco: where Maroc in Mode can help

A clothing label launched in London or an online store run from Montreal may share the same challenge: finding a manufacturer willing and able to produce the right goods at the right scale.

For entrepreneurs with Moroccan roots, working with a supplier in Morocco can bring a commercial dimension to their relationship with the country. Shared familiarity may help a conversation begin. A workable production agreement still needs detailed specifications and clear responsibilities.

The 23rd Maroc in Mode is scheduled for 3–5 November 2026 at Casablanca’s International Fair exhibition centre. Jointly organised by AMITH, Morocco’s textile and apparel industry association, and CEMS-Global, it connects manufacturers with international buyers.

Start with a focused supplier search

Entrepreneurs do not need to begin with an unstructured list of factory enquiries. The salon’s mim.show platform offers company and product searches and meeting functions. Full access requires a visitor registration code, according to the platform. Users should select the relevant edition before exploring the listings.

AMITH also provides a member directory intended to support business connections. It offers another research route, although membership alone does not establish that a company is exhibiting or will accept a particular order.

A concise production brief makes an enquiry more useful. It should describe the garment, preferred materials, number of designs, estimated quantities, target budget and intended sales market. That information helps a supplier assess whether the project fits its capabilities.

Ask about minimum quantities before comparing prices

A new label should establish the minimum order per design, colour and size. An apparently manageable total can become difficult once divided across a collection.

The next question is scope. Does the quotation cover fabric sourcing, pattern development, samples, production, labels and packaging? Two unit prices may represent very different services.

The verified event information does not establish standard minimum orders, production times or commercial terms across exhibitors. Each supplier’s offer needs to be checked separately and recorded in writing.

Approve a sample and work backwards from delivery

For a first order, a sensible approach is to approve a sample before committing to production. The written specification should address measurements, composition, finishing and washing performance. Any claimed certification should be checked for validity and relevance to the actual product or facility.

Timing also needs to be broken down. Fabric availability, sample approval and manufacturing are separate stages. A factory dispatch date is not the same as arrival at a warehouse overseas.

Compare the full delivered cost, including transport, insurance, import formalities and possible corrections. Product and destination-market requirements should be checked before deciding the retail price.

A business connection with room to grow

Diaspora entrepreneurs can contribute knowledge of customers, distribution channels and buying habits in their countries of residence. Moroccan manufacturers bring production expertise. A successful partnership depends on making those contributions work together.

The sources reviewed do not confirm a list of diaspora-owned exhibitors. Nor does attendance establish that a company has secured orders.

Maroc in Mode offers access to potential partners. The meaningful next step is a verified supplier, an approved product and a first order with terms that both sides understand.
